| All entries must be submitted on official CFA entry forms (photocopies are acceptable). The official entry form is available online .Online entries must be made via the Southern Regon web site or the CatShows.us web site. Per CFA Show Rules, fees for entries submitted electronically (onlines) MUST BE MADE WITHIN TEN DAYS, or at checkin, whichever comes first. Make checks payable to National Capital Cat Show. The returned check fee is $75. It is the exhibitors' responsibility to verify before the closing date that the entries were received. The entry clerk will call collect to obtain additional information on any illegible entries. Clerking SchoolThe National Capital Cat Show will be sponsoring a clerking school in conjunction with our September Show. There will be a maximum of 15 students to allow for individual attention. Date & Time: Friday, September 11, 2009, 8:30-3:30 Kittens & Kittens For SaleKitten For Sale cages will be available only if you have an entry in the show. Please keep in mind the show rule which limits two kittens per single cage. No kitten under 4 months of age is permitted in the show hall. No kittens may be kept in carriers under the cage nor in your car. Exhibitors selling kittens from carriers will be escorted immediately from the premises. All kittens being sold at this show must be sold from a Sales Cage which you purchased for that purpose. There is a fee of $20 per single cage. You must have proof of age for all kittens being sold; i.e., a CFA Blue Slip & a Rabies certificate. A Rabies certificate is required by Virginia state law for all kittens that are 4 months of age. HealthAll cats and kittens entered or present in the show hall should be innoculated against feline enteritis, feline rhinotracheitis, calici viruses, and rabies (required by Virginia state law - bring proof of vaccination), and tested negative for FeLV. All cats should be free from fleas, fungus, or other health problems. Any cat suspected of being ill, of having fleas, etc., is subject to removal from the show hall in accordance with CFA show rules. All claws must be clipped prior to benching. GeneralCFA rules will be stricly enforced. A copy of the Show Rules may be obtained for $5.00 from CFA, PO Box 1005, Manasquan, NJ 08736. All Championship, Premiership, and registered Kitten entries will be scored for CFA National and Regional awards. Registration numbers must be printed in the catalog. It is the exhibitor's responsibility to check entry confirmation and notify entry clerk of any errors. Check-In and JudgingCheck-in on Saturday is from 8-9:00 AM at the showhall. Judging will start at 9:30 AM Saturday and 9:00 AM Sunday. Advertised show hours are 9:30-5:00 Saturday and 9:30-4:00 Sunday. No entries, with the exception of kittens, may leave the show hall before the end of the advertised show hours without the permission of the Show Manager! Single cage size is 22" x 22" x 22". National Capital reserves the right to substitute judges in case of emergency. Show HallDulles Expo & Conference Center (formerly the Capital Expo Center) is located in Chantilly, VA. Take Exit 53B off I-66 and follow Rt. 28 north approximately 3 miles, right on Willard Road to the Dulles Expo Center. You can also take the Dulles Access (toll) road to Rt. 28 south towards Chantilly and turn left on Willard Road. The show hall is air conditioned and wheelchair accessible. People food is provided and there is plenty of free parking. Directions Show Hotel The Holiday Inn
Select , Chantilly-Dulles Expo Center, is located within walking
distance of the show hall. National Capital has secured a room rate of $105
singe/double. The hotel provides transportation to and from Dulles airport. To
make a reservation and be included in the National Capital Block, please call
703-815-6060 and reference the "National Capital Cat Show." The
room block will be held until August 21, 2009. The hotel's web site lists
alterntive hotels in the area but three that our exhibitors have enjoyed in the
past are: Alternative Hotels: Supplies and MiscellaneousLitter will be provided at the showhall. You should bring litter boxes, food, bowls, and any other supplies needed by your feline friend. PhotographerWe are honored to once again have CHANAN photography with us. Richard & Nancy Katris have a world-wide reputation for their wonderful cat photography. Be sure to take advantage of this rare East coast visit. If This is Your First Show:Please indicate on your entries! We will try to bench you with someone experienced. Also, check out CFA's pamphlet Ready-Set-Show which is available on the web. AgilityAgility entries are open to entered exhibitors for their entered cats or cats brought specifically for agility. Entry fee is $10 if the Agility cat is also entered in the AB show; $35 if the owner is also entered in the AB show and needs a half-cage; $40 if not also entered in the show (includes a half cage). You may pre-enter your agility cat using the special form here or enter at the show. If the cat is not entered in the show and you pre-enter you will get one cage (single opening) with the entry. If you are not pre-entering and will need extra cages, be sure to order them with your show entry. If the cat IS entered in the show, it is an additional $10 to participate in agility and an extra opening is not provided. Household PetsHousehold Pets will be judged both days by the eight judges listed above. There will not be a stand-alone HHP show this year. No limit on the number of HHPs this year. Breed Booths, Parade of Breeds, and Junior Showmanship RingThe Parade of Breeds will be held both Saturday and Sunday.
